What prompt me to create Android Mobile App – ‘Emergency SMS Help’ –
Met an elderly saying that as age catching up, it is more & more time consuming to compose & type message in Whatsapp. I created this Android Mobile App – ‘Emergency SMS Help’ to enable elderly to send out a SMS message in JUST 2 TAB. Reason to choose send message using SMS instead of other messaging apps (e.g. Whatsapp) is because sending SMS message DO NOT need a internet connection. During an emergency, internet connection might not be available. Another alternatives is you could use Google Home during an emergency to get HELP .. learn more – see ‘Google Home’ below.
What prompt me to start using Google Home –
It comes together with my new smart TV when moving house and I started talking to MY Google Home mini every now & then .. common chat “Hey! Google” “How’s the weather?” .. “Hey! Google” “Play rain sound” to play some white noise .. “Hey! Google” “How long to walk to StarBucks Coffee? .. etc. During an emergency, you could also start a phone call by .. say ‘Hey! Google’ then ‘Call [phone number]’. End phone call by .. say ‘Hey! Google’ then ‘Stop’ or ‘Hang up’ or ‘End call’. p.s. Create a Google Contact List and you could start a phone call by .. say ‘Call [name]’.
What prompt me to start using Robot Vacuum –
I bought it for my mum (Pioneer Generation – age 81) to ease her from using the ‘normal’ vacuum for routine cleaning. It’s very easy to use! MY mum nows very familar with the “Start” and “Home” buttton on the remote. She could also press “Start” & forgets .. and Robot vacuum will ‘Home’ to the charging base by itself when battery runs out.

For security purpose .. to check on the safety of my mum (Pioneer Generation – age 81). Detecting motion when she moving around and going in & out of her home ..

To see past tv programs which I have missed. With the Smart TV and internet connection, my mum can continue to attend her church’s Sunday service at the comfort of her home .. all-throught this Covid19 Stay-At-Home period.
